Rusty is an little orange diesel who works on the Skarloey Railway.
Bio[]
Rusty was first built on an old, run-down railway that was also occupied by Sidney, Norman, Paxton, Dennis, and Bear. The six worked happily together until the railway ran out of money and had to be closed down. Luckily, the six engines were bought by Sir Topham Hatt, who brought them and their controller to the North Western Railway. The six worked happily on their new home (although Norman and Dennis fell in with the wrong crowd and often got into trouble).
Rusty was sent to help out with the Narrow Gauge Expansion Project, and was allowed to stay with the Narrow Gauge Railway after it was completed. During the expansion project he became good friends with Peter Sam and Ivo Hugh.
Rusty currently works on the Skarloey Railway. He enjoys working at the Incline, but also works quite a bit at the Blue Mountain Quarry and the rebuilding of Ulfstead Castle.
Persona[]
Rusty is a hardworking, kind, trusty little diesel. He takes a great amount of pride with his work, and makes sure that when a job gets done, it gets done right. He is always very focused and a perfectionist. He is caring, calm, and quick-thinking. He also likes taking dangerous jobs on hand. He enjoys teasing Duncan about his phobia of ghosts.
